    INSIGHT

'You didn't build that' implies 'You don't OWN that'
       by Patrick Anderson, Publisher

The right to own private property (including real estate) is officially under attack. Barack Obama's recent "You didn't build
that" insult reveals his ideology in a way that cannot be mis-interpreted. Here are his exact words from the speech he gave in
    Roanoke, VA:

"There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me -- because they want to give something back. They
know they didn’t -- look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’
m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out
there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of
    hardworking people out there. (Applause.)

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.
Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody
invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The
Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make
    money off the Internet."

Here is the video so there can be no mistaking the tone or the context:

Obama claims that government and the community-at-large deserve credit for your individual initiative and success. "If you've
got a business -- you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."

But if that's true, why isn't everyone equally successful?

A quote like Obama's can only come from someone who has never built anything of substance. For those who actually HAVE
built a business, Obama's assertion is an outrageous insult.

Where does he get the nerve? It comes directly from the socialist ideology that drives his every decision from health care to
taxation. One of the foundational principles of Marxism is the prohibition of private property. The state owns everything, the
land, the means of production, and consequently the fruits of your labor.

The concept of statism underlies Obama's every motive, his health care policy, his stimulus program, and his continual assault
on the "wealthiest" Americans making over $200,000 per year. Given the imaginative way courts are interpreting eminent
domain these days, how long will it be before owning real estate is viewed as a privilege rather than a fundamental right?

The unspoken subtext to "You didn't build that" is "... so therefore, you don't OWN that." And people like Barack Obama have
no qualms about taking it away from you and giving it to somebody else. Please do not vote for this man or for anyone else
    who agrees with him.
