Follow-up! County scuttles plan for short-term rental ordinance
... by Patrick Anderson, Publisher. Glynn County is going back to the drawing board on its
proposed short-term rental ordinance. While the Brunswick News correctly reported considerable
opposition from the real estate community, the ordinance could not have gone forward after we
researched and published the following: Proposed ordinance is illegal according to HB
748! Thanks to all who helped defeat this horrendous licensing contraption. We'll be watching to
see whether a revised plan emerges from the county office.
